How to Play Solitaire (Klondike Rules)
The goal of Solitaire is to move all 52 cards to the four foundation piles located at the top right of the board. Here is how to complete the grid:
- The Foundations: Build these four piles up by suit, starting from the Ace and ending with the King (A, 2, 3... J, Q, K).
- The Tableau: The main play area consists of 7 columns. You can move face-up cards onto other face-up cards, but they must be placed in descending order and must alternate colors (e.g., placing a Red 6 onto a Black 7).
- The Stockpile: Tap the stockpile at the top left to reveal new cards to play when you run out of moves on the Tableau.
- Empty Columns: If you clear an entire column on the Tableau, only a King (or a stack starting with a King) can be placed in that empty space.
Solitaire Tips & Strategies
Learning to play Solitaire can be a bit intimidating for beginners. Here are a few essential tips to improve your skills and win more games:
- Reveal hidden cards first: Always prioritize making moves that reveal face-down cards in the Tableau columns. The more cards you expose, the more options you have.
- Don't empty a slot without a King: Unless you have a King ready to move into an empty space, avoid clearing a Tableau column just for the sake of it.
- Think ahead in Neon Mode: Speed is key. Don't overthink. Click cards quickly to auto-move them to the foundations or tableau to keep your energy high.
