Spider Solitaire: 1 Suit (Easy)

Learn Spider the Right Way

1 Suit Spider is the friendly introduction to one of the deepest solitaire games ever designed. You play with 104 spades across ten columns, building sequences downward from King to Ace. Complete a full run and it flies off the board — clear all eight runs to win.

Rules in Brief

  • Stack cards in descending order (a 6 goes on any 7).
  • With one suit, every descending stack moves as a group — no suit-matching to worry about yet.
  • Tap the stock to deal one new card onto every column. You can't deal while a column is empty.
  • Finish a complete K-to-A run to remove it. Eight runs win the game.

Tips for Your First Games

  1. Empty a column early. A free column is Spider's most powerful tool — it lets you re-sort almost anything.
  2. Flip face-down cards over everything else. Each flip gives you new options and gets you closer to open columns.
  3. Deal as late as possible. Every deal buries all ten columns under a fresh card. Squeeze out every good move first.
